The Path, 2022, 200 × 200 cm
The artist transforms the electric wheelchair from a means of mobility into an instrument of painterly gesture, using it to create a background in the chromatic spectrum of the Pride flag. In doing so, she articulates a universal message of equality and the acceptance of difference. At the center of the composition appears the artist’s life-size silhouette, rendered in a prenatal curl and encircled by a powerful black ring. This ring may be read as an archetypal symbol of cyclicality, protection, and boundary—serving as a metaphor of inner space, personal identity, and existential struggle. The tension between the openness of the color spectrum and the enclosure of the circle thus unfolds as an image of both individual and collective journeys toward self-determination and rebirth within a space of equality.
